Dining at Pho Kim Long, Las Vegas

Hey friends, this week (possibly next as well) is Las Vegas week, on the blog!  If you know me and Bryan, we are big time Las Vegas lovers, and trips there are pretty frequent. Yeah, less frequent now with a toddler, but we always make time to come back and enjoy all of the sites, the eats and the shows. Believe me, there is always plenty to do while in LV, whether it be on or even off of the strip!

With all of the MyVegas playing lately, Bryan and I were able to have an incredible (and very much needed) trip to Las Vegas, all because of playing a game on Facebook, which earns points that you can cash in for some really great food, hotel stays, and attractions in Vegas! If you're not playing MyVegas and you want to go there for some fun that you pay very little for, I suggest you get on that.  Like now.

Soooo, the start of our trip landed us in LV pretty late at night, and we were in need of some dinner. Many of the locals (and not so locals) have talked about a yummy little Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant which is nestled in a strip mall in the heart of Chinatown. The place is called Pho Kim Long. Now, before you go judging this little gem by its name (like they didn't give this place that name on purpose, sheesh!) you should really give it a shot. Not only is the food really good here, but the portions are pretty large and this place is open 24 hours a day! Yep, that's right! So, if you are hungry at 3 am after stumbling out of strip club wherever you just were, this place will always hit the spot.

This place always seems to be hoppin no matter the time of night, so don't get discouraged if you have to wait for a few minutes for a table, because trust me, it's well worth the wait (even a small one)! The pricing is low to moderate, and don't forget about the portion sizes!

I had a tough choice deciding what I wanted to order, and settled on the House Special Noodles.

Bryan ordered Stir fried Pepper Cube cut steak.

Both dishes were very good! I have heard good things about their Pho and other Vietnamese dishes, which I will probably try next time I am there!

Sometimes eating on the strip for every meal can add up pretty quickly, so hearing great recommendations about affordable, off the strip dining is kind of nice, if you are trying to save a little money to put on black at the roulette table.

The rest of the night was fun and mellow. We were happy and full as we walked around the shops at The Venetian!

We had a great start to our weekend.
